The funnel this metric sits inside
Instagram's growth path has three steps and they fail in different ways. A post reaches people. Some fraction of those people tap the account name. Some fraction of those visitors follow. Each step has its own conversion rate and its own diagnosis.
The failure is rarely where people assume. An account whose posts reach 20,000 people but produces 40 profile visits does not have a reach problem — it has a post that gives nobody a reason to wonder who made it. An account with 2,000 profile visits and 15 new follows has the opposite problem: the posts are working and the profile is not closing.
Before ordering anything, read those two rates in your own insights. They are the difference between spending money on the right step and spending it on a number that was never the constraint.
| Symptom | Likely constraint | Where the money belongs |
|---|---|---|
| High reach, few profile visits | Posts do not create curiosity about the account | Content and hooks, not this service |
| Good profile visits, few follows | Bio, grid or highlights are not closing | Fix the profile first |
| Low reach across the board | Distribution, not conversion | Views, saves or shares |
| Profile visits below what the traffic warrants | The visible visit signal is thin | This service |
